Everyone will be coming back for more of these delicious little treats! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened (do not substitute) |
1 and 1/2 cups (6 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded |
1/2 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
dash of salt and paprika |
1 and 1/2 cups corn flakes cereal, crushed |
1/2 finely chopped almonds(plain, or smoked) |
Directions:
1. POSITION knife blade in food processor bowl; 2. ADD butter and cheese 3. PROCESS until blended 4. ADD flour, salt, and paprika; process until mixture forms a ball, stopping often to scrape down sides. 5. ADD crushed cereal and almonds 6. PULSE 4 times 7. SHAPE dough into 1/2 inch balls 8. PLACE balls about 2 inches apart on UNGREASED baking sheets 9. FLATTEN each ball in a 'crisscross' pattern with a fork dipped in flour 10. BAKE at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned 11. REMOVE to wire racks to cool |
