This is my absolute favorite. I got this recipe from someone I used to work with and was hesitant to try. I make it for at least 4-6 gatherings a year. Everyone loves it. Ingredients:
2 - avocados that are ripe |
1- 8 oz. - cream cheese softened. |
couple of good scoops of sour cream |
shredded cheddar cheese (to your liking) |
black olives (i use green) |
2 bunches of green onions (cut) |
1 tomato (diced) |
shredded lettuce |
tabasco, lawry's season salt, and garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Cut Avocados in half and scoop into food processor (I have a tiny little $10 one that works perfect). 2. Process until it looks creamy. 3. In other bowl mix cream cheese, sour cream and creamy avodaco until mixed well (I use a hand mixer). 4. Add a couple shakes of tobasco, Lawry's, and Garlic powder. 5. Mix well and taste. 6. Add more Lawry's if need be (I usually do). 7. Spread in pan ( I use a jelly roll pan ) and refrigerate for hour. 8. Then top with cheese, olives, lettuce, tomato, and onion. 9. Servie with tortilla chips (I use bite size tostitos). |
