Poke is a type of Hawaiian appetizer made with raw ahi tuna, and seasoned with various sauces or vegetables. This is a different twist on a traditional favorite! Ingredients:
8 ounces fresh sashimi grade ahi tuna steaks |
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil |
1 ripe avocado, medium to large size, pitted and diced |
1/4 jalapeno, seeded and diced |
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro |
1/4 cup red onion, finely diced |
1 fresh lime, juice of |
sea salt and fresh pepper |
Directions:
1. Cut the ahi into small cubes and combine with all other ingredients. 2. Toss to mix. 3. Keep on ice and serve chilled. |
