Super quick and easy to make. The flavors complement one another quite nicely. Takes minutes to prepare. Great with a scoop of ice cream on the side. You can leave the chocolate sauce off and have a quick, refreshing fruit salad instead! I use Roland Diamond - 4 leaf vinegar because it is aged more which makes it thicker and richer in flavor; not as tart. Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas, sliced |
2 (4 1/2 ounce) containers fresh blueberries |
2 mangoes, cut into 1/2- inch pieces |
1 (16 ounce) container fresh strawberries, sliced |
2 medium avocados, cut into 1/2-inch pieces |
1/2 cup walnut pieces |
1/2 cup dark semi-sweet chocolate chips |
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
3 tablespoons half-and-half |
4 -6 leaves fresh basil or 4 -6 leaves mint |
Directions:
1. Place cut fruit in bowl. 2. Add walnuts. 3. Gently mix together. 4. Spoon into individual serving dishes. 5. Combine chocolate chips, vinegar and Half and Half in small sauce pan 6. Stir over low heat until chocolate is melted and ingredients are well blended 7. Spoon over fruit cups. 8. Garnish with fresh basil or mint. |
