This recipe was given to me by my sister. A Fort Lauderdale resident, she enjoys a lot of seafood cooking. This recipe is a favorite side dish to her fantastic seafood dishes. Ingredients:
6 slices bacon |
3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
1 tablespoon white vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
3 -4 drops tabasco sauce |
2 medium avocados, sliced |
2 medium tomatoes, cut into cubes |
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup) |
4 -6 cups salad greens |
Directions:
1. Cook bacon in 10-inch skillet until crisp; drain and crumble. 2. Mix oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and tobasco sauce. Pour over avocados in bowl; toss. Add bacon bits, tomatoes and onion. Refrigerate about 2 hours. 3. Serve on salad greens. |
