I love this salad! last time I made it it got eaten so fast I had to quickly make another. Ingredients:
1 head/ bag romaine lettuce or lettuce of choice |
2 mango |
2 avocado |
candied slivered almonds (optional) |
dressing |
1/4 cup honey |
1/4 cup oil |
1/4 apple cider vinegar |
1 tblsp mustard |
Directions:
1. candied almonds: 2. place nuts in pan and pour sugar over it, place on low flame stirring constantly until sugar hardens. pour on flat surface so they wont stick 3. in a salad bowl, combine all of salad ingredients (except for almond) 4. in a small bowl mix all dressing ingredients 5. pour dressing over salad 6. toss almonds over salad before serving 7. **optional 8. as part of dressing you can add 1/4 cup mango 9. this salad also tastes great without the lettuce |
