AUTUMN PUDDING This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hartford Estate in Mesquite Texas in 1991.
Ingredients:
4 cups sliced apples
1/2 cup water
juice of one lemon
1 cup brown or white sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
Directions:
1. Butter a baking dish and place sliced apples in it.
2. Pour water and lemon juice over them.
3. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter with a fork until crumbly then spread over apples.
4. Bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hours then serve with ice cream.
