                    AUTUMN PUDDING This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Hartford Estate in Mesquite Texas in 1991. Ingredients: 
                    
                        
                                                4 cups sliced apples  |  
                                                1/2 cup water  |  
                                                juice of one lemon  |  
                                                1 cup brown or white sugar  |  
                                                1/2 cup flour  |  
                                                1 teaspoon cinnamon  |  
                                                1/2 cup butter  |  
                                                
                     
                    Directions: 
                    
                        
                            
                                1. Butter a baking dish and place sliced apples in it. 2. Pour water and lemon juice over them. 3. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter with a fork until crumbly then spread over apples. 4. Bake at 350 for 1-1/2 hours then serve with ice cream.                              |
