Yummy. Easy. Healthy. What more could you want from a soup? Dinner in a bowl. Warms you up. Fills you up. Lots of flavor. Cooks up in an hour! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 large onion, chopped |
6 cups water |
1 1/2 cups carrots, cut-up |
1 cup celery, diced |
1 1/2 cups potatoes, cubed |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon browning sauce |
1 dash worcestershire sauce |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
1 bay leaf |
1/8 teaspoon dried basil |
1 dash tabasco sauce (optional) |
1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes with juice |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan brown ground beef. Drain fat off. 2. Add onions to beef and continue cooking until onions are tender, about 5 minutes. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients; heat to boiling. 4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. |
