Autumn Greens and Apples

Nothing like dark greens high in fiber, filled with Vitamin A, C, Manganese and Calcium . Cooked with apples and bacon. Serve as a side, over pasta or a grain stuff into an apple and bake.
Ingredients:
1/2 lb bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 large apple, diced
1 large onion, diced
6 -8 cups kale (beet greens or swiss chard use a mix of them)
5 roasted garlic cloves, mashed
1 tablespoon honey
Directions:
1. In a large frying pan cook bacon till crisp, drain and discard fat.
2. Add onions, and apples cook for 4 minutes.
3. Remove stems from greens and slice into 1/4 inch lenghts. Add to the apple mixture cook for 8 minutes.
4. Chop the greens.
5. Add garlic, honey and chopped greens. Stir in and simmer 5 minutes.
