AUTUMN APPLE SALAD I obtained this recipe from an estate sale when I purchased the family collection from the Ferguson Estate in Duncanville, Texas in 1987.
Ingredients:
1 large can crushed pineapple drained
2/3 cup sugar
1 package lemon gelatin
8 ounce package cream cheese softened
1 cup diced apples
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup cool whip
Directions:
1. Combine pineapple and sugar in a sauce pan then bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
2. Add gelatin and stir until dissolved then add cream cheese stirring until smooth.
3. Cool then fold in apples, pecans, celery and cool whip.
4. Pour into a rectangular dish and refrigerate.
