Ingredients:
about 1/4 pound ham hocks |
3 cups water |
2 cups shelled fresh crowder peas, cleaned (about 1 pound unshelled) |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Wash ham hocks and place in a large Dutch oven. Add water, peas, and salt; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour or until peas are tender. 2. Serving Suggestion: Aunt Sivie's Green Crowder Peas may be served with Hot Pepper Sauce. |
