Aunt Melody's Vidalia Onion Casserole |

This is a great side for steak or anything from the grill. Don't skimp on the cooking time...it really alters the flavor. Ingredients:
2 large vidalia onions, sliced thin |
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1/2 cup of grated parmesan cheese |
1 cup ritz cracker |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Melt the butter in a large skillet, add onions and saute until soft. 3. Remove from heat and add sour cream. 4. Mix thoroughly. 5. Scoop half of the onion mixture into a small greased casserole dish. 6. Top with parmesan cheese. 7. Layer with remaining onion mixture and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. 8. Sprinkle the top with Ritz crackers. 9. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. |
