Aunt Martha's Country Green Beans |

These may just be the best green beans I've ever made. Ingredients:
5 cups fresh green beans, snapped and washed |
2 cups chicken broth, seasoned with garlic (i use swanson's) |
4 pieces bacon |
2 tablespoons bacon grease |
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes |
1 tablespoon salt |
water, to cover green beans |
Directions:
1. Using a large pan, put all the ingredients in the pan. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Cook for approximately two and a half hours. 4. If needed add more water. 5. Make sure the beans are really tender before serving. |
