Aunt Mable's Buttermilk Pie |

This has been a standard favorite in my family for years. The recipe comes from my father's Aunt Mable who passed away several years ago. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1/4 cup flour, sifted |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 cup margarine, softened |
3 eggs |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1 unbaked pie shell |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. Mix flour & sugar. 3. Stir mixture into softened butter (or margarine). 4. Beat eggs into mixture one at a time. 5. Stir in vanilla and buttermilk. 6. Pour mixture into unbaked pie crust. 7. Bake for 55 minutes. |
