In the summers, when I was young, my grandmother would take me to her family home in Missouri for visits with relatives. I have many precious memories of times with her. My Aunt Mabel would make these meatballs for all our family reunions. I have made these many times. They are so tasty!! Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef |
2 cups corn flakes, crushed |
2 eggs |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
1/3 cup parsley flakes |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/3 cup catsup |
2 tablespoons onions, dried minced |
1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce |
1 (12 ounce) bottle chili sauce |
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients for meatballs in large bowl. 2. Roll into walnut size balls. 3. Place in 9 x 13 pan. 4. Mix all ingredients for sauce and cook until the cranberry sauce melts. 5. Pour sauce evenly over the meatballs. 6. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or more. |
