A dense cinnamon raisin bread that the Family Loves! Aunt Itsy makes these for Christmas gifts. Great spread with cream cheese or butter. Ingredients:
2 cups sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
2 1/2 cups flour |
3 eggs |
1 cup oil |
1 cup raisins |
1 cup walnuts, chopped |
1 (15 ounce) can campbell's pork and beans |
1/8 cup water |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. Mix dry ingredients. 3. Add eggs and oil. 4. Place pork n beans and water in food processor or blender and process until smooth. 5. Add to above ingredients. 6. Fold in nuts and raisins. 7. Bake in a greased bread loaf pan for 1 hour. (toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean). |
