Aunt Bea's Bran Muffins

1 egg may be used instead of 2.
Ingredients:
1 cup water, boiling
1 cup (all-bran) original cereal
1 cup margarine
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 pint buttermilk
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp baking soda
2 cups (all-bran) original cereal
Directions:
1. Combine boiling water and 1 cup of All-Bran Cereal. Set aside to cool.
2. Cream together margarine and sugar. Add eggs.
3. Add 1 pint of buttermild alternately with dry ingredients, except for the bran.
4. Add cooled bran mixture.
5. Fold in 2 cups dry All-Bran Cereal. Stir to moisten.
6. Pour into lined cupcake tin. Bake at 425 for 20 minutes.
