This is the easiest stew there is. Throw it all in a large oven-safe casserole, pot or roaster some Sunday morning and when you come home the heavenly aroma will guide you right to the kitchen. Naturally gluten-free, too! Read more ! Ingredients:
2 pounds beef stew meat, lean |
3 potatoes, cubed |
4 carrots, chunked |
2 cups celery, sliced |
3 onions, quartered |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1 16 ounce can tomatoes |
3 tablespoons tapioca |
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup red wine |
1 envelope gravy, dry mix, brown |
1 envelope gravy, dry mix, brown, onion variety |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1/2 teaspoon savory |
dash allspice |
dash ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Mix all together in large casserole and bake at 250 for 5 hours or put into crockpot at high for 2 hours and then low for 4-5 hours. 2. I usually double this and send the kids home with a supply for the week! |
