THIS IS MY AUNT ALMA'S RECIPE, WHICH I LOCATED LAST NIGHT WHILE GOING THROUGH OUR FAMILY COOKBOOKS. AUNT ALMA PASSED AWAY IN NOV. OF 2007 OF PANCREATIC CANCER. SHE LOVED LIFE AND LIVING AND SHE WAS MY FRIEND. THIS RECIPE IS EASY AND DELICIOUS. Read more . 1 egg |
1 stick of margarine |
1 box yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 cup for filling) |
topping |
1 1/4 cup white karo |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
3 eggs |
2/3 cup cake mix |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1 1/2 cups of pecans |
Directions:
1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES 2. MIX TOGETHER CAKE INGREDIENTS, FIRST 3 UNDER CAKE. 3. PRESS INTO A GREASED 9 X 13 PAN 4. BAKE FOR 15 MINUTES AT 350 DEGREES 5. REMOVE FROM OVEN 6. MIX TOGETHER ALL INGREDIENTS FOR THE TOPPING 7. POUR ON TOP OF THE CRUST 8. BAKE AGAIN AT 350 DEGREES FOR 20 MINUTES. 9. DONT OVER COOK 10. LET COOL COMPLETELY AND CUT INTO SQUARES. |
