This is a recipe I got from my cousin years ago. I know it is very easy and tastes YUM. You can add onions or some bits of ham if you like. I think if I were to make it I'd add some green onions (Spring onions) sliced thin towards the end of baking for some colour and some crunch. Read more . Prep time is minus the chilling time Ingredients:
2 c. milk |
2/3 c velveeta cheese |
4 oz. cheddar cheese |
2 sticks butter (1/2 pound) |
2 pounds frozen hash browns - partially thawed |
salt and pepper to season |
Directions:
1. Put milk, cheeses and butter in a pan and heat on low-med heat just to melt the cheeses. 2. Put the partially thawed potatoes in a 9X13 baking dish. 3. Pour sauce over potatoes, DO NOT STIR. 4. Let set for at least 2 hours or over night. 5. Bake at 350 for 35 - 40 mins |
