Crunchy indian starter, serve with any dip, raita, plain yogurt, salsa or ketchup! Deep fried so sure to help you on your way to a heart attack Ingredients:
spinich leaves or frozen blocks |
besan (chickpea flour) |
water |
red chilli flakes or fine chooped fresh |
zeera (cumin seeds crushed or powder) 1 tea spoon |
crushed coriander 1 tea spoon |
salt 1 tea spoon |
pepper 1 tea spoon |
Directions:
1. Make a paste/batter of besan and water (thick but still runny) 2. add in red chilli flakes, zeera., crushed coriander, salt. pepper 3. now dip spinich block or crunches of fresh spinich 4. deep fry it, longer for the brozen blocks. 5. when they are done they should look crispy and like the picture 6. drain on kitchen paper 7. Can be baked for a healthier version (about 20 minutes) 8. Also the blocks will be healthier as there is more veg/batter |
