Asparagus With Lemon Butter

A slightly updated take on a German classic.
Ingredients:
2 bunches thin asparagus
1/2 stick butter
1/2 lemon, juice and grated peel
salt
1/4 c. soft bread crumbs
Directions:
1. Cut 1 T. of the butter into small bits and reserve.
2. Preheat the broiler.
3. Steam the asparagus just until done. Melt the remaining butter and mix with the lemon juice and peel. Salt to taste, and pour over the asparagus in a baking dish. Cover with bread crumbs and butter bits and broil until crumbs are nice and brown.
