Asparagus With Creamy, Cheesy, Aioli Sauce |

This wonderful rich and creamy sauce can be varied by the type of vinegar you use. This is a great sauce for fish and other vegetables as well. Ingredients:
1 (6 1/2 ounce) package garlic & herbs spreadable cheese, i use alouette |
6 tablespoons olive oil |
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
1 teaspoon shallot, minced |
1 lb asparagus, rinsed |
Directions:
1. FOR SAUCE:. 2. Place Garlic & Herbs Spreadable Cheese in medium sized bowl. 3. In another bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar and shallots until well blended. 4. Gradually add the vinaigrette mixture to the cheese. 5. FOR ASPARAGUS:. 6. Cut spears diagonally in 1/2 inch pieces, leaving tips whole. 7. Stir-fry pieces in butter or hot oil, in a skillet or wok at medium high heat. 8. Stir constantly until tender-crisp, 3 to 5 minutes. 9. Ladle sauce over asparagus and serve immediately. |
