I got this recipe from my neighbor who served this to us last weekend at a cookout. His guests inhaled this as did I. So tasty, yet so easy to make. Enjoy Ingredients:
1-1/2 pounds asparagus cut diagonally into 1” pieces |
10 ounces frozen asparagus |
2 tablespoons fresh parsley snipped |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 slices bacon fried and chopped |
Directions:
1. Cook asparagus as directed on package then drain. 2. Place steamer basket in 1/2 water in saucepan or skillet. 3. Place lower stalk pieces in basket then cover tightly and heat to boiling and reduce heat. 4. Steam 4 minutes then add tips and cover tightly then steam 5 minutes longer. 5. Toss asparagus with parsley, lemon juice and salt then sprinkle with bacon. |
