From Virginia Hospitality. Ingredients:
2 lbs fresh asparagus |
6 ounces mushrooms, sliced |
2 tablespoons butter |
3 cups white sauce |
1 teaspoon chives or 1 teaspoon green onion top |
2 tablespoons pimentos, finely chopped |
3 hard-boiled eggs, sliced |
breadcrumbs, buttered |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Cut asparagus in pieces. 3. Cook until tender and place in greased 1 1/2-2 qt baking dish. 4. Saute mushrooms in butter. 5. Combine all ingredients except crumbs and pour over asparagus. 6. Sprinkle with crumbs. 7. Bake for 20 minutes. |
