These Asian-Style Turkey Burgers are great, if you are opting out of cooking up a storm for Thanksgiving! They are easy to prepare, moist and flavorful. I serve then on a 100 calorie Multi-Grain Sandwich Thins, made by Arnold. Ingredients:
1 lb turkey, ground |
1/3 cup onion, chopped fine |
3 tablespoons italian parsley, fresh, chopped |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
2 tablespoons green peppers, diced |
1 tablespoon soy sauce, low sodium |
1 tablespoon water, cold |
2 teaspoons ginger, fresh, peeled and grated (or 1 tsp powdered) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
2 tablespoons oil, for frying |
4 sandwich buns, multi-grain thins, 100 calorie each, by arnold bread |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, mix well the first 11 ingredients. 2. Divide the turkey mixture to 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 3/4 inch-thick patty. 3. Coat a large skillet with oil, warm over medium high heat, until hot. 4. Add patties, and cook for 8 minutes on each side, or until done. 5. Serve on buns, with your favorite condiments and trimmings. |
