A quick and popular salad to bring to get togethers. A good picnic choice since there is no mayo in it.
Ingredients:
1 bag of coleslaw mix
5 green onions, chopped
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
2 pkg. of ramen noodles, crumbled (packet set aside)
1/2 c. sesame seeds
1c. c raw almonds, sliced
1c. vegetable oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 c. white or rice vinegar
1c. granulated sugar
Directions:
1. Add coleslaw mix and green onions to a large bowl.
2. Take next 4 ingredients mix together in a medium bowl and spread on to a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until browned. Cool.
3. Take next 4 ingredients and place into a small bowl. Mix and place into a microwave. Cook in 20 second increments and stir until sugar is dissolved.
4. Take cooled noodles, sesame seeds and almonds and add to the coleslaw and green onions.
5. 30 minutes before serving, add dressing and chill.
