The perfect side dish for oriental themed meals. The flavors would also compliment grilled shellfish, fish or chicken. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon sesame seeds |
4 cups thinly sliced napa cabbage (about 1/2 of a large head) |
1/2 cup thinly sliced green onion |
3 tablespoons rice vinegar |
2 tablespoons peanut oil |
1 tablespoon minced peeled fresh ginger |
1 teaspoon sesame oil |
1 teaspoon sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Stir sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat until light golden, about 3 minutes. 2. In a large bowl combine cabbage and green onions, add remaining ingredients and toss to blend. 3. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve. |
