A little lighter option than the typical mayo-style coleslaw. Made a couple modifications to recipe Ingredients:
1 package of cole slaw mix or 1 red cabbage shredded in food processor |
teaspoon of salt |
3 or 4 green onions sliced thin |
1 or 2 tablespoon(s) olive oil |
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil |
2 tablespoons rice vinegar (or your favorite vinegar) |
pinch of celery seed |
2 pinches of crushed red pepper |
dash tabasco |
dash soy sauce |
Directions:
1. Salt the cole slaw mix, let this sit for 15 minutes or so then drain in a colander. 2. Mix everything else and add to the slaw. 3. Stir well. 4. Let this sit for at least 10 minutes before serving. |
