My friend Ashley makes this dip for just about every party or get together. She shared the recipe with me, but I added my own twist, and now I'm sharing it with you. Make sure you share the bean dip too! It's so good you might not want to! P.S. I personally like Cholula as my hot sauce of choice, but this recipe calls for Tabasco. Feel free to use your favorite hot sauce. :) Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can refried beans |
1 cup sour cream |
8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature |
1 (12 ounce) bag shredded cheese, mexican blend |
tabasco sauce |
1 large tomato, diced |
0.5 (2 1/4 ounce) can black olives, sliced |
1/4 cup green onion, chopped |
1/4 head lettuce, shredded |
1 (2 lb) bag tortilla chips |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In mixing bowl combine refried beans, sour cream and cream cheese. Add hot sauce to taste. 3. Spread into casserole dish and bake 20-25 minutes. 4. Remove from oven and add entire bag of cheese. Bake 5 minutes. 5. Remove from oven again and let cool for just a minute. 6. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, black olives and chives (green onions). 7. Serve with tortilla chips. |
