As You Like It Chicken Breasts |

This is probably the first recipe I ever made. And still make today. It is out of a cookbook that I've had for almost 20 years, titled Recipes from Iowa with Love The outer coating of herb stuff mix seems to seal in the juices making the chicken moist & well juicy. Read more . I will serve this with my Microwaved Potatoes in Butter & Garlic, love soakin' my chicken in the butter! Ingredients:
1/2 pint sour cream |
2 tbsp. lemon juice |
2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
1 tsp. celery salt |
1/2 tsp. garlic salt |
1/2 tsp. salt |
dash pepper |
8 boneless skinless chicken breasts (i usually only use 4 very good sized ones) |
3 cups herb seasoned stuffing mix, rolled fine (and put in a bowl big enough to roll the chicken in) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In a large bowl(big enough to dredge the chicken) combine the sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, & melted butter with the remaining seasonings. 3. Dip the chicken in the sour cream mixture. 4. Then roll in the herb stuffing crumbs. 5. Arrange chicken in a shallow greased pan. 6. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. |
