I purchased some cute little heads of artisan lettuce so wanted to make a simple but somewhat special salad... Why use bottled dressing when it's this easy to mix your own that tastes this good? Sweet red grapes and garlic-butter croutons rounded out the fresh flavors of the salad. Ingredients:
1/3 cup sliced green onions |
1/4 cup white zinfandel wine |
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
3/4 cup mayonnaise (add more for creamier dressing) |
Directions:
1. Whisk all ingredients together, chill for at least 1 hour.
2. Whisk again before serving.
