Artichokes In Lemon Butter Sauce |

since we are talking about artichokes.... this one in the crockpot for easy preparation, I usually double the recipe and cover all with enough water in the crockpot Ingredients:
2 large fresh artichokes |
6 cups hot water or enough to cover |
4 small lemons, sliced thin |
lemon butter sauce, multiply as needed |
1/3 cup melted butter |
3 tbs lemon juice |
1/4 tsp seasoned salt |
Directions:
1. With sharp knife, slice about 1 off top of each 2. artichoke; cut off stem near base. 3. With scissors, trimabout 1/2 off top of each leaf. 4. With sharp knife, halve each artichoke vertically; then scoop out and discard the fuzzy center of choke. 5. Place artichoke halves in your crock pot; add hot water 6. and lemon slices. 7. Cover and cook on HIGH 4 to 5 hrs. OR until done. 8. Drain and serve with Lemon Butter Sauce, 9. For sauce: Combine all ingredients. |
