Artichokes and garlic make the perfect marriage in this quick to make appetizer. Ingredients:
2 cans drained artichoke hearts (not marinated) or |
2 boxes frozen (defrost and drain) |
5 large cloves garlic |
2 tablespoons flour |
kosher salt and peppermill pepper to taste |
1/4 cup white drinking wine |
crusty italian bread |
evoo twice around saute pan |
1 tablespoon capers |
Directions:
1. Heat pan on med heat 2. when it's hot put sliced garlic in 3. stir garlic until it softens 4. season 5. add wine 6. stir 7. slowly add flour to make a roux 8. quickly add artichoke hearts 9. stir until heated through 10. add capers 11. serve piping hot with bread to mop up the yummy sauce 12. and with grated romano cheese on side |
