I learned to make this pita bread sandwich years ago from friends and still make it today. Ingredients:
2 lbs bulk italian sausage |
12 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded |
4 pita bread, halved |
Directions:
1. Brown the sausage. Allow to cool. 2. Mix in the cheese. 3. Stuff the pita bread halves with the sausage mixture. 4. Wrap individually in foil. 5. Heat in a 350°F oven for 20 minutes. |
