Like rice pudding, but not pudding... more like rice with the consistency and sweetness of oatmeal. Ingredients:
1 cups uncooked rice |
2 1/2 cups water |
1 can evaporated milk |
2 tbsp ground cinnamon |
2 tbsp vanilla or vanilla flavoring |
3 tbsp flax seed (ground in food processor or blender) |
1/2 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Boil rice in water until cooked. (normal white rice preparation) 2. Add the rest of the ingredients and return to a boil. 3. Stir constantly until mixture almost reaches desired consistency and remove from heat. (It will thicken a little bit when it cools.) |
