another recipe off my mother mandy, although it says turkey i have found that any poultry or meat can be used in this recipe and you can also replace the cream for creme fresh if you are watching the weight. i use chicken stock but veg stock just as tasty Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 chopped onion |
1 garlic clove (chopped ) |
1/4 inch chopped fresh ginger |
1/2 teaspoon turmeric |
1/2 teaspoon cumin |
1/2 teaspoon coriander |
1/4 teaspoon chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon garam masala |
2 ripe tomatoes (chopped ) |
800 g turkey (diced ) |
1/2 pint stock |
2 tablespoons double cream |
seasoning |
Directions:
1. heat oil in a large pan,. 2. fry chopped onion and garlic until soft then add chopped ginger and spices and fry for a further minute. 3. add the tomato ,turkey and stock bring to the boil then simmer for 30 minutes. 4. turn off heat and stir in the cream and serve. |
