APRICOT RICE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Long Estate in Dallas, Texas in 1987. Ingredients:
2-1/2 cups water |
1/4 cup finely chopped dried apricots |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup long grain rice |
Directions:
1. Combine water, apricots and salt in medium saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil then stir in rice. 3. Cover and reduce heat then simmer 20 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and allow to stand 5 minutes. |
