Apricot Preserve Nut Bread |

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups sifted flour |
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 cup chopped nuts |
2 tablespoons melted shortening or 2 tablespoons salad oil |
1 egg |
1 cup apricot preserves |
1/2 cup lemonade or 1/2 cup orange juice |
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. 2. Add nuts, shortening, egg, preserves, and juice. 3. Stir until mixture is dampened, but not smooth. 4. Pour into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake at 350 for 55 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. |
