A wonderful fruit loaf to have by itself, or spread with a little butter. Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup dried apricots or sultanas |
15g butter |
1 t. baking soda |
1 tblsp. golden syrup |
2 small cups flour |
1 1/2 t. baking powder |
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients in a basin, except the flour and baking powder. 2. Add one cup of boiling water and stir well. 3. When cooled, add flour and baking powder. 4. Mix, then pour into a lined and greased loaf tin. 5. Bake for 60 minutes in a moderate oven. (350 - 375F) |
