A wonderful fruit loaf to have by itself, or spread with a little butter.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup dried apricots or sultanas
15g butter
1 t. baking soda
1 tblsp. golden syrup
2 small cups flour
1 1/2 t. baking powder
Directions:
1. Put all the ingredients in a basin, except the flour and baking powder.
2. Add one cup of boiling water and stir well.
3. When cooled, add flour and baking powder.
4. Mix, then pour into a lined and greased loaf tin.
5. Bake for 60 minutes in a moderate oven. (350 - 375F)
