This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Prigge Estate in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1991. Notation indicates this won two blue ribbons. Ingredients:
2 cups dried apricots, finely-chopped |
3 cups flaked coconut |
1 cup sweetened condensed milk |
1 cup almonds finely-chopped |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. In large bowl combine apricots, coconut, milk, nuts and vanilla. 2. Mix well. 3. Shape into balls. 4. Roll in powdered sugar. 5. Place on waxed paper and let stand uncovered until firm. |
