A great dessert full of taste and color . Ingredients:
20 large very firm apricots |
1 cup blanched almonds |
1/2 cup superfine sugar |
3 tablespoons (rose water ) or apricot juice |
chocolate sauce |
or coconut |
Directions:
1. Make a slit in each apricot and remove the pit. 2. Blend the almonds, sugar, and rose wateror apricot juice to a soft paste in the food processor. 3. Take lumps the size of a small walnut and roll them into balls. 4. Push them into the apricot slits, and press the apricots to squeeze the filling gently. 5. Arrange the stuffed fruits on a heatproof dish and bake in a preheated 350°F oven for about 10 minutes, or until they have softened a little. 6. Remove if they start to fall apart too quickly. 7. when finished serve it beside vanila icecream with chocolate sauce 8. or you can roll them dipped in coconut 9. have them hot or cold |
