Applesaucey Nut Loaf

This loaf is very quick to make and has just the right amount of sweetness. We have nut sensitivities and the flavour is just as good without the nuts.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
note: you can use either all-purpose flour or half all-purpose and half whole wheat.
3/4 cup sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped nuts
1 egg
1 cup applesauce
2 tbsp. melted butter
Directions:
1. Combine all dry ingredients, including nuts.
2. In a separate bowl, beat egg, then combine with applesauce and melted butter.
3. Add dry ingredients to applesauce mixture and stir until blended. Place in a greased loaf pan and bake at 350ยบ for one hour.
4. Cool before slicing.
5. *I like to sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
6. This loaf can be baked in mini loaf pans and the cooking time is about 25 minutes. Check doneness with either a long skewer or a toothpick.
