Had this bottle of reduced-calorie syrup in the fridge unused for some time...just didn't like it! Well, it was use it or throw it out, so this is what I did. This is my ALWAYS topping now!
Ingredients:
1/4-1/2 cup reduced-calorie maple syrup (any brand)
1 cup unsweetened applesauce (homemade is best)
salt (optional)
Directions:
1. Combine all in saucepan, using no more then 1/16 tsp of salt. (may leave out).
2. Stir frequently as it simmers until heated.
3. That's it! Enjoy!
