Big fluffy cake-like cookies. This is a recipe passed on from my mom. Her recipe card is so covered with cookie ingredients you can't read it anymore. My sister and I call her regularly to get the recipe, so I am adding it here so I will always have it. Ingredients:
1/2 cup shortening (crisco) |
1 cup sugar |
1 cup applesauce |
2 eggs |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
12 ounces chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. 400 degrees 8-10 min.
2. Mix sugar and shortening together. Add applesauce.
3. Beat eggs and add to applesauce.
4. Add dry ingredients.
5. Stir in choc chips.
