Applesauce Cherry Loaf - (Kit Hansen's) |

A very moist loaf that freezes very well. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup maraschino cherry, drained and halved |
1 egg, well beaten |
1 cup applesauce |
1/4 cup vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. 2. In a large bowl, sift together Dry Ingredients (first 6 ingredients). 3. In another bowl, mix together Wet ingredients (last 4 ingredients). 4. Mix the wet ingredients into dry until well blended. 5. Pour into a loaf pan. 6. Bake for 70 minutes. |
