100 g soft margarine |
2 eggs |
100 grams sugar |
130 g flour |
2 tsp baking powder |
5 tbs milk |
1 packet vanilla pudding mix |
2 cups applesauce |
2 cup sour cream |
3 eggs, separated |
3 tbs sugar |
Directions:
1. Cream margarine eggs and sugar till fluffy. 2. Mix dry ingredients. 3. Add to creamed mixture with milk to make a smooth dough 4. Place in pan and bake in a 200C oven for 15 minutes ( in springform pan ) 5. Mix the vanilla pudding mix with just a small amount of apple juice or milk to liquify 6. Add the applesauce into the pudding mixture and cook and stir just to the boiling point. 7. Place mixture over the baked layer 8. Mix the sour cream with 3 Tbs sugar and egg yolks. 9. Beat whites stiff and gently fold into sour cream mixture 10. Gently spread this over applesauce layer and bake 20 to 30 minutes longer 11. Cool completely and chill at least 5 hours or overnight before removing from pan and serving |
