Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1 cup sugar |
2 cup applesauce |
2 cups light raisins |
1 cup chopped walnuts |
1 tsp baking soda |
3 1/2 cup sifted flour |
2 eggs |
1 tsp cinnamon |
2 tsp cloves |
2 tsp nutmeg |
pinch salt |
Directions:
1. Sift together: flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Take 1/2 cup of flour mixture and stir into the nuts and raisins. Set both aside. Cream butter until whipped soft. Add sugar a little at a time until mixture is smooth. Beat in eggs vigorously. Alternately stir in flour mixture and applesauce. When all mixed, add nuts and raisins, mix well. Pour batter into greased cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. |
