Is just as good without the raisins and pecans too! Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 eggs, well beaten |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon clove |
1 cup applesauce |
1 cup golden raisin, chopped |
1 tablespoon flour |
1 cup pecans, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. 2. Add eggs, beating well. 3. Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together. 4. Add to butter mixture alternately with the applesauce. 5. Toss the raisins with the 1 tablespoon flour. 6. Stir raisins and pecans into batter. 7. Pour into a well greased and floured loaf pan. 8. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour. 9. Remove from pan and cool on a rack. |
