This applesauce cake is different than the others. Recipe does not give pan size or bake time. Ingredients:
bake in oven 350 degrees |
4 whole eggs |
4 c. cake flour |
1 c. plus 1 tbsp. shortening |
1 tsp. soda |
1 1/2 c. brown sugar |
1 tsp. each of: cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg |
1 box of raisins |
1/2 c. nut meats |
2 c. applesauce |
Directions:
1. Sift flour before measuring.
2. Measure, place in sifter with soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves.
3. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
4. Add dry ingredients alternating wit h applesauce.
